Teso Enterprise Consulting & Marketing Association (TECOMA Uganda) is a company limited by guarantee and a local (Ugandan) not-for-profit Non-Government Organization (NGO) formed in 2012 as a CBO (Community Based Organization) in Katakwi and Soroti District. TECOMA is mandated to implement activities aiming at improving Health, Nutrition and WASH, Food security and community livelihoods, Environment and Climate Change and Partnerships and Institutional sustainability for the improvement of the livelihood of the rural communities. TECOMA is dedicated to working with men, women, youth and children among the rural households to enhance the improvement of their socio-economic livelihoods. TECOMA places communities at the heart of her work by helping communities take control of their own development, demanding efficient and effective service delivery. TECOMA sees its relationship with the communities as a partnership that creates opportunity to adapt, improve, and sustain all development initiatives of the local communities themselves.

For the rural poor households living in the Teso sub-region through education, research, marketing of local farmers’ agricultural production and provision of microfinance support, with the goal of community development.

STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS
TECOMA has in the past established other partnerships of strategic nature which have enabled addressing critical issues in the areas of operation in Teso Sub-Region and with plans to extend to Karamoja sub region. These partnerships include;
-Linkage with government departments especially the health department at the district local governments.
-National Chemo-therapeutic Research Institute (NCRI); for Medicinal Plant Research
International Leak Detection (ILD) Uganda partners; for capacity building on value chain development for plant products.
-Government Analytical Laboratory(GAL); for quality product tests.
-Senior Expert Service (SES), Germany; for capacity building.
-National Organic Agricultural Movement of Uganda(NOGAMU); for promotion of organic agriculture.
-Reducing Post-Harvest Loses and Adding Value(RELOAD); for promotion of value chain development for agricultural production consultations ongoing.
- International Leak Detection (ILD) Uganda partners; for capacity building on value chain development for plant products.
-TROCAIRE UGANDA; Carried out research on Youth Land RIGHTS Awareness in Northern Uganda.
